Friday:
Palm Springs, California
Side Trip:  We took an unexpected side trip to the emergency room Wednesday afternoon.  Evidently all this dry desert air influenced a mother lode nose bleed and Stan sped me to the nearest hospital (about 30 miles away).  It was located out on an Indian reservation.  It was a long drive, and it actually stopped bleeding by the time we reached the hospital!  This was such a relief and an answered prayer, thank you Lord.  The emergency room said they average about three heavy duty nosebleeds per week...I am on Dr.'s orders to keep cool, vaporized and quiet through tomorrow.  Otherwise all is going very well and this place is amazing...we're eager to get out and see it!

What we have seen is fascinating.  There are enough colorful flowers and greenery to comfort the eye, but the backdrop is still pure desert.  There is a snow capped mountain here and an international airport right beside it, so the airliners coming in have that beautiful mountain as a backdrop.  I'll see if I can get a photo of it another day.  There are wind turbines galore packed together...all in this one panoramic view.
