Tuesday:
Day Trip/Mission San Juan Capistrano:
Remember that old song..."When the Swallows Come Back to Capistrano"?   Mission San Juan Capistrano (established in 1776 while California was still Mexico!) was one of a chain of twenty one missions in what is now California.

My biggest impression of this day trip was the gardening, which is obviously a large and elaborate labor of love....and the sunlight was showing off the colors and floral variety of this place to the max today.  Of course, there were swallow nests in the eves of a courtyard roof along with a telescope fixed to observe them.  And neither of us were aware that a tree, named Silk Floss, even existed.  photos below
I didn't know what to expect of this location but discovered that California can boast of yet another  beautiful (and historic) location.

After the tour, we had a little lunch at the Missions Cafe across the street...then stopped by the ocean on the way home to watch the waves crash and listen to the roar...just because we could...then back to the RV where we both napped the afternoon away...we are retired you know.

Greg and Stan did some wiring at Greg and Anja's place and then there was a pizza afterward...worker bee incentive.  Another pleasant day in California.
