Tuesday:
Sun & Fun RV Park/Tulare,CA (Half way between LA & Sacramento)
What a 250 mile drive today!  The first part was through LA (not nearly as congested and difficult as we expected) and then on to some very picturesque mountain terrain.  This is all new territory for us...the climb was steep and at times they kept the trucks (that's us) to 35 mph for the very steep grade.  The highway was so bumpy in the truck lane that we had things falling all over...doors opening...plastic light covers falling off the ceiling lights...we even hit a big ol' plastic bag and drug it all the way to the RV Park...what a magnificent drive...the scenery and the experience!  We gathered ourselves over a sit-down meal at Denny's and amazingly the rest of the trip all the way in was flat as a pancake for as far as we could see, and on nice smooth roads!  Such a welcomed change from all the jostling.  Anyway, any safe drive is a good drive, we always say...and we hope to be here for three days, since there are points of interest in range.
