Tuesday:
Traveling Day:
Oceanside, CA
We reached Oceanside RV Park early this afternoon which is located only two blocks from the ocean.  We didn't have to travel far from Palm Springs today to see lush green terrain again...what a contrast to where we've been the last few weeks!  As you approach the ocean, these San Diego area hills make the Pacific look like a wall of water standing before us.  We caught a peek of it as we drove in.  photo

We enjoyed spending the evening with our son Greg and his wife, Anja.  They bought their condo about a year ago, and this was the first time we had been there, so it was a special night for us.  I think their neighborhood with it's tiled roofs has a little European sense to it.  A feature they particularly like is that it overlooks  a mountain where they enjoy hiking.  photo below

Anja, like her Mom, is an amazing and creative cook.  She had made chili, with toppings...one of which was avocados...this was a new combination for me... and it works well together.  This was all so nice after a day of traveling! We reminisced and chuckled about some of our experiences in Germany together, a few years back, and talked of her parent's plans to come to the US to visit in July.  The evening seemed to go by fast and we are now back at the RV again, making plans for tomorrow.  Always good to be with family...these two are such a great couple...it was a most pleasant day!
