Friday a.m.
Traveling Day/Midway RV Park/Coos Bay Oregon.
Update: Yesterday we just relaxed and took a drive into the local State and National Redwood Forests. It was raining basically all night and day yesterday, so pics were few and far between. We had fresh seafood at a local place called Good Harvest Restaurant and it was excellent.
Today we drove about 130 miles on Highway 101 along the Oregon coastline. They struggle to keep this highway from crumbling...but it is so worth their effort!!
Someone told Stan of a local drive that boasted a number of amazing beaches, and also had a look out over a colony of Steller Sea Lions. We could hear them barking but barely see them other than with binoculars, and even then...not very well. It was still fun to experience them out in the wild...although they looked like big fat ants...ha. The info at the overview mentioned whales in those waters too but no spotting yet. We took a narrow path winding down a cliff and found a hidden overlook and took yet more photos.
All so beautiful, rugged and wild...
