Chuckanut Drive/Washington
This drive is described as hugging the sheer sandstone cliffs of the Chuckanut Mountain. There were little bergs dotted here and there before you reached the official beginning of the drive. One had a very elegant art gallery indoors, complete with a whimsical garden path packed with outdoor garden art pieces out back. I could have spent hours there. The rest of the drive wound around a gentle mountain with lots of over views of the bay area. To me, the lush forest was the breath taking part of the drive. So green and filled with ferns and moss. This was a short trip but so pleasant. We lunched at a local restaurant, shopped a little, and headed back. Anyone from Auglaize Co. (where our home is) would assume the farm photos were from there...the terrain is so similar that we felt a touch of home.
