Friday:
River's Edge RV Park and Campground/Fairbanks/Alaska
Beautiful blue skies filled with bright billowing clouds framed more mountains and a new terrain of mud flats.  We stopped at the Alaskan Pipeline on the way in, and snapped a couple of photos of Eielson Air Force Base.  Last but not least, North Pole, Alaska appeared on the horizon, with candy cane striped light poles lining the streets.  They have a Santa Claus House in town which is open year round.  It's sure different to be back in a city environment...maybe a little culture shock from the past few days of time out in the vast spaces of Alaska's 'outback' but a nice change of pace.
