Thursday:
This morning Stan worked on the rear view mirror some more and it was...duct tape to the (temporary) rescue!

Today we say our goodbyes to Fairbanks...so we stocked up on groceries while still in the city. By the way, they have some very nice grocery stores here...you can find almost anything you could want....for an elevated price.   They wanted over $7. for a bag of fresh cherries...those were promptly returned.  Tonight they play their annual Winter Solstice Midnight Baseball Game in town.  We might run over there later on to check it out.

It was like summer vacation at "the cabin by the lake" here.  Good memories of much enjoyed R and R....easy going and mellow....not at all how I had pictured any of this trip!
