Tuesday:
Jasper National Park of Canada/Alberta
We had another nice drive again today. Most of the time the sun was shinning…the last thirty miles were inside of Jasper National Park, so you can imagine the scenery was outstanding on such a pretty day. To top it off, we saw so much wildlife as we drove along. They told us a number of grizzlies were know to be in the campground and saw a crowd disbanding that had watched one walk away just moments before we pulled up. Today’s photos show we encountered Elk, Bighorn Sheep, Mule Deer and Whitetail Deer from the car as we drove through the park and many deer all along our whole route.
We set up camp and took off for the nearby town of Jasper, which is located within the park, for lunch and just looking around to see what it was all about. We found a delightful Canadian village full of beautiful architecture with well-kept yards and flowerbeds…..and, as always in the larger places, lots of tourist shops and restaurants.
