EXPLANATION:
As we travel long distances, it's been our intention to find a church at each location while on the road, even if only there for a week.  For us, the emphasis isn't about denominations, but Jesus.  We've found Him in many locations...in many varieties of congregations and denominations....from large, highly formatted meetings to store front guitar casual all across America .

Sunday Morning:  For three years we've watched our winter church (Florida's First Assembly of God) send a team to Hatti to work on a project they began after the earthquake.   They are building a new church for a congregation that lost theirs in the devastation.  The service today was hosted by the 2012 Team, who just returned this past week.  They talked about all the moving experiences while there and the spiritual impact the church in Hatti had on them.

Their 'to-do' work list included tileing of the sanctuary platform, some wiring and 'the big cahuna' ...installing a sound system.  The first time they tried some music out on the new system, it was so loud, they said a man came running in from working at the school across the street...but he wasn't upset... he was happy and excited...to have music in their neighborhood...I think some Hattians hold valuable every bit of life's luxuries.
 
In talking with the kids, the group said, even though they were typical kids having fun with the new people hanging around, they sadly found out their norm was two small meals per day, and not much variety in those two....basically beans and rice.  Sure is a privilage to have been trusted with such abundance here in the USA and I need to be about spreading more of it around, I think.

We'll miss this lively and loving church, but will hope to join them again for a fourth season in 2013. 

Sunday Afternoon:  Now we're back at the RV and waiting and waiting and waiting for the rain delay to end and the Daytona to begin (no rain here yet just a few miles south)....actually Stan's resting in his recliner....and snoring...and when he wakes up...he'll say he's not sure he slept any....but we know different ;-)

Race canceled.  Moved to Monday.
