Sunday:
THE HOLY WAY PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, Tucson, AZ. My impression from this congregation was visual...handmade blankets were displayed all over the front of their sanctuary today and the colors and designs were really beautiful. A short film explained that those blankets and many more were destined to comfort and cheer hurting children and adults at many hospitals and other locations. They also gave each of the visitors a little loaf of homemade nut bread to take home!
SAGUARO NATIONAL PARK:
We took a leisurely drive through Saguaro National Park/West www.nps.gov/sagu this afternoon. To me it was interesting but not as dramatic as some other sites we've seen. The weather is cool and overcast today. Bright sunlight would have been an asset for photos, but they needed the rain around here, so who's complaining. I thought the park gift shop was especially well done and a nice shopping experience...although Stan may not agree with this observation...ha. Photos below
Tomorrow's destination...Phoenix.
