The Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch,CA
Anja and Greg took us to an absolutely delightful place this afternoon located about 10 minutes from their home called The Flower Fields of Carlsbad Ranch.  The best explanation is found here:  www.theflowerfields.com   I took over 100 photos!  Posted below are a few...and really...you had to be there to really appreciate it!  Amazing!

Anja had found a meat store near them called Tip Top Meats that is a three generational business run by a German man, who had escaped East Berlin after the war and came to the states to get a new start in life.  It's a great success story, as you can read on their web site.  www.tiptopmeats.com  We stopped there tonight to shop for some authentic German sausages for a meal we're planning on Monday.  It smelled so good there that we decided to eat there!  They were not disappointed with the Wiener Schnitzel nor we the bacon filled hamburger!  I think we're all ready to return anytime!
