Saturday:
Traveling Day/ Friendly RV Park at the base of Mt. Shasta
I assumed it would be the standard highway drive as we headed north this morning, but surprise...we had a much more scenic 100 mile drive...photos following.  Once here we took a drive up to Bunny Flat, which is part of the way up Mount Shasta...the snow tipped mountain in the photos.  Part of the road is still snowed in, which one of the photos will show.  Pine forest all the way....the scent was wonderful.  Having asked around, we learned of a local restaurant called Hi Lo and enjoyed a nice weekend meal there and a quick little look around Weed (name of this lumber town) and we're back relaxing at the RV.  The temp in the mountains is crisp but sunny and pleasant...no breeze today.  Down here at the RV Park, it's just barely cool.  I like the clean mountain air.
