Saturday:
Mile “0” Park/Dawson Creek/BC/Canada
We traveled 285 miles today which completes our tour of the Alaska Highway at Mile “0”.  This year they are celebrating The Alaska Highway's 70th Anniversary.
It was built to access and protect the northwest during WWII.  As if staged for us, tomorrow vintage miliatary vehicles are gathering at this RV park from Canada, the US and other countries...they even mentioned a few European friends joining in, to make a convoy that will travel the Alaska Higway together...what a parade that will be...a 45 MPH chugging train.

We've found it takes endurance just to drive the Alaska Highway….I can’t fathom the blood, sweat and tears it took to actually clear a path through this kind of terrain for so many miles!!

The traveling went smoothly again today...I'll not take nice roads for granted again.  We have another ding in our windshield, but it has to be replaced anyway.  The only difficult part was the long up and down grades…our RV had to take strong climbs….possibly the strongest we’ve ever experienced with it, but it did it’s job well.
Photos tomorrow.
