Thursday:

Fox Run RV Campground/Palmer/Alaska
We started out from Seward this morning and the weather was dry but soon it began to drizzle again and that turned into stronger rain with heavy winds.  The RV was getting shaken around a bit but we drove out of it eventually.   About 50 miles into the drive we made an on the spot decision to stop at Begich, Boggs Visitor Center.  Stan had read they offer a 1-hour boat tour to Portage Glacier, but they had called off the tours for today because of the weather. 

We are camped near Palmer now, not even unhooking the Jeep but enjoying being in a quiet campground and getting ready for another day on the move tomorrow.  Inspite of the strong winds before lunch, it turned out to be a pretty good travel day after all.
