Friday:
Tolsona Wilderness RV Park/Glennallen/Alaska
Since rain was forecast, this sunshine was such a pleasant surprise!  Photos are so much more enjoyable when the Skies are bright!

Obviously from this week's posts, glaciers are the focus in this part of Alaska.  We could see the Matanuska Glacier along some of Glenn Highway today (this glacier is 27 miles long by 2 to 4 miles wide....at the present time).  That explains the head photo for today and some additional ones included in the side mix.  The Fireweed 400 Bike Race was all along our route today too.  www.fireweed400.com  (Stan chatted with a few of their chasers).  So, steep mountains, lots of bikers plus ongoing frost heaves made it an interesting driving day!  Our RV camp is 'rustic' and but we are only here overnight again...we're planning on moving out early in the morning.
Photos on the right under Alaska.
