Toad River Lodge/Toad
River/BC/CanadaThis section of the Alaska Highway lived up to it’s reputation for abundant wildlife…there were herds of wood bison and the occasional bear to entertain us all the way in….not to mention the amazing scenery again.... the journey truly was the destination today.
Stan wanted to stop at the Laird Hot Springs today...their water temps were 126 degrees. It only took about an hour and it was a relaxing stop.
The onsite restaurant here at Toad River Lodge has an interesting collection of caps hanging from it’s ceiling(s) and Stan found a huge beaver dam built in the lake that runs alongside the RV park. Actually we just came in from watching the beavers work...they didn't seem to mind us standing there even though we were about 20 feet from them. It will be a nice memory of British Columbia.
