Friday:
Mountain View RV Park & Campground/Sundance/Wyoming
Devil’s Tower Road Trip/Devil's Tower National Park/NE Wyoming
We decided to take our Jeep to downtown Buffalo this morning before traveling on.  We had breakfast out...where we saw a mother deer and twin fawns close to our car and near the highway as we got out of the Jeep.   After breakfast, I shopped in an art gallery on Main Street and we headed back to the campsite to pack up and leave.

We arrived here near Sundance after noon, and immediately headed out to tour a place known (unfortunately!) as The Devil’s Tower.  I understand it was formed in ancient times from volcanic activity, and the soil has eroded away leaving this unique formation of stone columns.  We enjoyed walking the mile plus paved pathway around the tower.  One of the highlights was seeing a mother deer and fawn just a few feet away…they were totally undisturbed at our presence.  The weather was amazing…in the 70s….and the shaded pathway and slight breeze made it a near perfect combination to enjoy this experience.  We pulled out our binoculars to watch some climbers and some friendly people even offered us their telescope to get a better view.

After driving part way around the loop named the Devil's Tower Road Trip, we  paused  to dine out at Cindy B’s Restaurant, which is located in a small town that boasts 15 citizens.  It was homey and the food was simple but good quality and nicely done…we had a good time and even saw more deer and a turkey on our drive.
