Monday:
Bonanza Gold RV Park/Dawson City/Yukon/Canada
We covered about 215 miles today, and as has been the usual, the views were beautiful.

Note there is a picture of a news story on the road washout that we mentioned yesterday.  We heard today that 15 natives (they call themselves First Nation People) lost their homes in the mud slide.  As far as we know, no one was hurt.  We are so grateful to be able to continue traveling.

We ate in a fun place in Dawson called Sour Dough Joe's and checked out this historical gold rush town.

Stan talked me into driving up to a mountaintop near here known for it’s beautiful over view called Midnight Dome.  June 21st there is a gathering on this location that watches the sun “set” for a very short time and come up again…remembering that their nights here are in daylight for part of the year.  The scenes from there were dramatic.  There is a forest fire up the road from us, and you could see the smoke from it up there.  I was glad we took the drive after all.
