Friday:
Dean's Automotive/Anchorage/Alaska
Plan C:  If you didn't read yesterday's blog, we dry camped at a scenic overview at Cooper's Landing.
This was because there was no room in the RV park we chose. The plan was to move to the park when our (now reserved) camping spot became available the next day. We went to move our rig the next morning and it wouldn't start.  After many attempts of Stan banging on the starter located under the front of the RV while I turned the key (instructions from the expert automotive guy on the phone)....multiple phone calls to Good Sam and other options....and driving the neighborhood to find a local mechanic...we ended up deciding it would be best to go ahead and have it towed to the nearest location that could help us.

By the way, we applaud the woman running the campground down the hill....since our phone system is weak to non-existent up here....she gave us her personal cell phone to take along back to our RV and make this long list of calls to figure out the right answer!!!  Gotta love these Alaskans!!!!  That was about a hundred miles ago...this is Alaska, you know.  Now we are 'camping' outback of Dean's Automotive shop for the weekend.  They are planning on looking at it the first thing Monday morning....and yes...believe it or not...we are still having fun!  That's why they call this an adventure!
Trust me...amusing photos to the right under Alaska.
