Saturday:
Dean's Automotive/Anchorage/Alaska
Well...we've spent the day adjusting to our new environment.  We headed out to the nearest laundromat...now that item is checked off our 'to-do' list.  We did our usual Wal-mart restock and took a little side trip when we spotted a local Farmer's Market going on.  Our experience with farmer's markets here in Alaska is that they are not too extravegant...mostly a little fresh produce and not much else.

We'll be doing our share of eating out, because we have no additional access to water other than what we had stored, not knowing we would need a full tank.  We're both enjoying a local restaurant about a block away that "the towing man" told us about.  It's called Lucky Wishbone...it's hard to find a parking space there...and they have two big lots to park in...the secret is, they offer tasty 'homecooked' food at fair prices...at least for Alaska.  We have 20 amps voltage, so we have to be careful not to blow a fuse and sit here without power the rest of the weekend.  I am delighted that we do have TV here....not bad for 'free camping'.
