Sunday:
Beluga Lookout Lodge & RV Park/Kenai/AlaskaThe parking lot of Kenai Bible Church here in town overlooks Cook Bay…so as we arrived in town yesterday, looking for the RV park, the Garmin misdirected us into this church lot. There was no easy way out for our rig….we had to unhook…get the RV turned around...and drive separately to our destination about two blocks away. This was only uncomfortable because a funeral was being held there at the time and we were a little conspicuous with a 38’ RV towing a Jeep just outside the church doorway. They were so kind to us about this all that we decided to return this morning for the worship service. The pastor taught from the book of Acts and in addition, his son was baptized this morning during the service. This congregation, we both agreed, gave the atmosphere of an all-inclusive family and they welcomed us warmly.
Stan and I sat on a park bench later this afternoon and watched the bay. We noticed some golden eagles were
being harrassed while in flight by sea gulls. The head photo is of a pair that was flying together....it was fascinating to watch this. What a
peaceful way to spend a sunny Sunday afternoon.
