Tuesday:
Gakona Alaska RV Park/Gakona/Alaska
We are out in the boondocks, so much so that the only picture that would post tonight was the head photo I took early on our drive out of Valdez this morning.  

Other than the perk of being located by Copper River, I would describe this as a no frills campground which boasts few distinguishing characteristics other than a weathered (but sweet) pit bull (a stray that took up here, say the owners) that is a self appointed welcoming committee.  She came rushing out to greet us on arrival and has been hanging around each guest as they come in until they feel sufficiently at home.  Nice touch Gakona RV Park!
